Dear opal friends and those who think they have already seen everything: As far as I know, the largest EDEL VOLL OPAL offered here (I'm not talking about boulder opals):
ca 1390 CARAT !!!! Full opal / collector's item with embedded opal shell! You won't find something like that again! To best present this giant piece, I only sanded and polished the top. The back is absolutely natural! Color veins in gold-orange-green and partly red run right through the entire opal rock. I once exposed the color vein in one area to show what is still slumbering in this piece. I guess
this piece would make about 200carat GEM KLASSE VOLL OPAL (if you had the heart to saw this mega part). This piece alone is worth more than the selling price (you can easily calculate it yourself, but as always, no weird alleged carat prices from me).
I have added newer pictures, but unfortunately they have become much too bright ,,, in real between the first and the following pictures
Due to the size, 1 crack runs through the surface (probably not completely but only superficially as can be seen in the pictures). This can hardly be avoided with such huge full opals, but does not affect the gem color range!
Unfortunately, neither the pictures nor the video show the deep gold-orange-multicolor play of colors. You have to hold this opal in your own hands.
Please note that the weight was determined using digital kitchen scales because my calibrated carat scale only works up to 200 carat. I have therefore deducted 30 carats. however, a slight tolerance is to be expected (up or down)

Much more color inside. the large golden-orange-green-red area you will see will be around 200 carats at least if you choose to cut this piece. this area alone is worth more than the asked price ... One of a kind, Museum gem Quality 14-Mile Field Super GEM Solid Opal specimen. back is still in absolutely rough state. only a little dirt left. there is one visible crack (visible in the pictures) because of its huge size. the rest is crack free !! Unfortunately the colors in the pictures and video don't even come close to the real gem quality colorplay
