Description
220 MHzBase Antenna – Ham Band
This is a 220-225 MHz base antenna designed specifically for the 220 MHz ham band.
It is a J-pole type design and thus does not need radials or a ground.
I have my students build these in addition to our dual band and UHF antennas.
I have been an instructor at the Univ. of California since 1998 (formally at Berkeley and now at Santa Cruz-Silicon Valley) teaching primarily graduate course in wireless communications.
Each antenna is custom built and tuned to your requested frequency by me or my graduate students.
For general HAM use, a center frequency of 223.5 (222-225MHz) MHz is adequate.
You can also custom order for the 219-220 MHz band.
There is no charge for custom tuning.
Connector choices are SO-239 (aka female PL259)
or N ( extra) connector.
We can send you a PDF copy of the numerous articles and patents we have on these antennas.
