THREE PIN AMPLOK MALE
CONNECTOR
used on Magnavox Collaro Turntables and some Console systems (Fisher) 1960s and 1970 including
This is the male connector with the two prongs at the side
It has two prongs on the sides that can hold the socket in the metal slot. On Magnavox turntables, it just dangles at the end of the cable.
Magnavox/ Collaro used Amplok on earlier and Molex Connectors on later models. Check the last pictures to see the difference
I have a variety of Amplok and Molex 3 and 4 pin connectors available, check them out here:
Amplok & Molex Connectors available.
The last for pictures pictures show the plug and socket. This is for ILLUSTRATION ONLY. NOT INCLUDED
The last picture shows the female connector on the chassis of a Magnavox Collaro W608 turntable.
An Amplok three pin plug fits into it with the power cord or connection usually to the main amp; a MOLEX Connector will no fit:
The Amp lock has  metal tongues that mate with the pins of the on chassis socket. The Molex has tubular receptacles that will not quite fit into an AMPLOCK socket.
In October 1963 AMP (now TE Connectivity) introduced the MATE-N-LOK connector.[3] The AMP connector was similar to the patented Molex connectors but not interchangeable. Both were widely used in the computer industry and the term "Molex Connector" is often improperly used to refer to all nylon plugs and receptacles.
