Description
Coax to Antenna Balun/Isolator with a W2FMI 1:1 Current BalunThe Frequency Devices precision built Coax to Antenna Balun/Isolator is now available. A Balun is used to prevent RF from coming back down the coax and getting into your shack.
It also converts your coaxial unbalanced signal to a balanced signal which helps prevent distortion in the pattern of beams and wire antennas.
This 1:1 current Balun is based on a W2FMI design and will handle the full Ham Radio legal limit provided the antenna SWR is not above 2:1. The Balun will work from 1 MHz up to 54 MHz.
The Balun is bi-directional and comes with a SO-239 UHF connectors mounted on one end and solder lugs on the other end.
Also included is a stainless steel hose clamp to allow you to strap the Balun/Isolator to your boom or mast.
Our Baluns are built using 18-8 stainless steel hardware, all internal nuts are self-locking, and all screw and coax holes are sealed with RTV sealant. These Baluns are made in our factory in Ottawa, Illinois and shipped directly to you through the US Post Office.
