For sale is this collectible Egyptian faience figure that resembles an old mummy! Pieces like this were commonly collected and worn as pendants in ancient Egypt! They are still popular as collectibles and trinkets among the people today! It is made out of faience, which is a clay pottery-like material that is made of quartz. It may have once had a glaze on it (as similar pieces did), though I don’t see any remains of it. It is in the shape of an embalmed pharaoh (or a mummy). This is an awesome piece of Egypt culture. I believe this piece is less than 100 years old, though it favors pieces that are ancient. It is likely a piece that would have been sold as a souvenir or as a museum replica (possibly 1940-60’s). This piece is similar in size to ancient pieces, and is made out of the same materials. Original pieces are rare though. I believe that this is a replica or souvenir piece. It is not an ancient piece. It is still very collectible though! I have had it on display in my personal collection for a little bit now! Great display item! Don’t pass it up!
