Several different animals (typically animals as manifestations of gods) were worshipped in Ancient Egypt, including bulls, cows, dogs, cats, crocodiles, geese, and beetles. Some animals were worshipped specifically in their animal form. One such animal, often associated with some of Ancient Egypt's prominent gods, was the
Ram
. It was regarded by the Ancient Egyptians for its fertility and aggressive war-like attributes. Khnum, one of the more important gods in Egyptian mythology, was depicted as a ram with long, wavy horns. Banebdjedet was also represented with a ram's head, as well as the ba, or soul, of the Egyptian god Osiris. Other Egyptian gods associated with the ram included Arsaphes, Kherty, Andjety, Auf (Efu Ra), and Harmakhet - who was often depicted as a sphinx with the head of a ram.
Cold Cast
is a modern method of casting sculptures using a mixture of resin and powdered polymer materials. The finished sculpture has a surface which looks very similar to traditionally cast material, but tends to be much lighter.
