This unique bowl which dates back to the transition from the first to the second Naqada period seems to been
inspired by the hieroglyph for 'bringing'
. It leans forward as if offering its contents. It was probably used as an offering bowl at a sanctuary or in a tomb.
The replica reproduces some damage or chips on the feet as existing on the ancient original.
