Hi,
For sale here is our End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) antenna for 160m/80m/40m. NEW 200W PEP VERSION!!! Easy and fast installation. Mechanically is an end fed but electrically will operate as a full half wave on your desired operating band. No counterpoise needed but grounding is recommended on permanent installations.
NOTE: THIS IS A HUGE ANTENNA THAT REQUIRE A LOT OF SPACE! PLEASE BE SURE THAT DO YOU HAVE THE REQUIRED ROOM FOR IT!
Antenna can be installed: horizontal, vertical (can you?) inverted L, sloper and even zig zag. Typical SWR readings in most bands and installation permit a tuner free operation on all resonant bands from 160m/80m/40m (non harmonics related bands like 60m can be used with the help of an antenna tuner). THIS 49:1 EFHW ANTENNA IS NOT DESIGNED TO OPERATE ABOVE 40M. Need a half wave antenna for 160m operation this is the antenna for you! Just add a wire element of +/- 260FT (#14 AWG)(half wave length of the 160m band).
Please take a look to the sample swr readings using +/- 260FT of wire element (no tuner used at the moment of the pictures). All installations are different so different readings can be obtained.
We include: (1) ferrule, (1) thimble, (2) ring terminal and (2) military grade zip ties to help you build the wire element. Because of the long wire needed the wire element s NOT INCLUDED  but any typical electrical #14AWG wire like the TFFN will work perfect.
The transformer box will work as a half wave antenna using the conventional half wave calculation of 468 / freq in Mhz. After adding your calculated wire length just trim the wire to fine tune your antenna if needed.
Depending on your setup an antenna tuner maybe required for full bands operation.
