    Description

    Model 1959/85 Yugoslavian/Serbian Steel Helmet
This Yugoslavian helmet is in very good condition and could be an important part of someones Eastern Block or Yugoslavian civil war collection. This helmet was used in the country of Yugoslavia and adopted in 1959. In 1985 a modified version was adopted with a new shape and an improved suspension system. This is an example of the model of 1985. During the Yugoslavian civil war, the other combatants used them as well. Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia...etc.
This helmet has no dents, and no surface rust on the helmet. The chin strap has rust stains and rust on the buckles. The leather sweat band shows signs of bug attack. The webbing is excellent and has some interesting markings. It looks like a ZC in the top, and on the leather it looks like KHKA. The sweat band looks like it is marked 9260.
I'm guessing at the size which seems like it's about 58 or 59. I have a very large head (7 3/4) and it's very snug and smallish on me. But almost fits. I usually wear a 60 or 61.
    Thank you for looking.
