  • Condition: The Swedish Air Force Helmet Model 116 was mass-produced at FFV based on a joint development with GENTEX of the USA. The oxygen mask combined is the MBU-20P. The serial number of the present helmet is 1, making it a de facto prototype. The difference is that the visor cover of the mass-produced model is made of leather while the visor cover of the mass-produced model is made of cloth. The oxygen mask also differs from the mass-produced model, as does the hard shell and harness strap. The visor mechanism is a double dial knob with no locking mechanism. The condition of both the interior and exterior of the case shows only slight signs of use, and there are no noticeable scratches or stains. There are no missing parts. The oxygen mask is in good condition. The connector to the regulator on the fuselage (last photo) has some scuffs and scratches, but this is clear evidence that it was used in the field. The mannequin head is for photographic purposes and is not included with the item.
