    Description

    This unusual thimble holder in the shape of a well is made of wood with a metal handle which turns. On a black, painted square the well is red with grey sides. The base is 2 1/4" sq.  2 1/4" H. The thimble is marked with the  Simons mark in its apex. Greek Key is the design around the rim.  It is also marked "sterling"  and size "7" on the plain band.  It is SOOR (slightly-out-of-round) [probably well used].  Condition is very good considering its age.
